Welcome and Contributor Guidelines.

Welcome to our community blog! My dream is for this to become a place where our church members gather to express their thoughts, opinions and inspirations regarding our faith, our beliefs and our goals as a community. We also welcome announcements, be they events, birthdays, celebrations, anything you think our members might want to know about.

Contributors are asked to keep in mind that this is a public blog. My desire is to assist in educating the public, as to what UUs are all about. Our opinions about things are varied and sometimes we are very passionate in our writing. If you are an contributor, please remember to be as diplomatic, as possible and please, try to refrain from the use of profanity, when you share your thoughts. That goes for responses, as well. I would not want to have to make this a private group.

It might also be a good idea, if you are a prolific writer, to limit your submissions to one per day. This is not a rule, but a guideline and I invite comments. This is a new idea and we will have some bugs to work out, in order for things to run smoothly.

It is also important to respect copyrights. Make sure you have permission to use whatever you are posting, be it an excerpt, an image, poem or song. If you did not create it, you need permission to publish it. Just FYI...and I know I don't need to say this, but SPAMMING is a great, big NO-NO! :)

I'm also thinking of adding a module for links to OVUUs Websites. Maybe a link exchange with the artists, musicians, etc., that are members (or regular guests) of our congregation. Just a thought. I welcome others.

If you would like to be a contributor, all I need is your email to send you an invitation. Requests can be sent to Fairywebmother@yahoo.com . Please put OVUUC in your subject heading, so it doesn't get lost in the Spam. Also, be sure to include your name, as you would like it to appear in the Contributors list and the URL, if any, that you would like your name linked to.

This will be as positive, informative and fun as we make it, as a community, so welcome and have a good time!

Brightest Blessings,

Bettina
